Pretty sweet get up. Made by Burton for the US Snowboard team to use in Vancouver. It’s Gore-Tex, but simulates the look of a torn washed jeans. It’s still pretty wide (maybe simulating a boot-cut jeans). Maybe next in line is the skinnier type.
Great vids by director Jared Eberhardt. Love the handmade-lotech-childish-dreamish vibe it has. Remembers a bit of Wes Anderson or Michel Gondry. Check out a Q&A with Jared here. Vids below.
Definitely a stop my next time in Tokyo. Specially interested on the Nike Futebol stuff. Tokyo has the nicest soccer shop I’ve ever been to: Kamo. They would always have some cleats and team uniforms that I would never seen before. I wonder if Nike will have the same type of exclusive, limited edition, japan-only type deals. Hope so.
Every year they come up with some cool websites. It’s cool that you can go and choose neighborhoods in Tokyo. This kinda reminds me of a Nike campaign for Soccer, where Ronaldinho starts the chain video by lifting the ball, and passing it to the side of the screen prompting the next video uploader to do his/her own tricks and so on. Click on the image to go to the website.
This hotel (or more like a bed & breakfast) is basically 3 renovated fishing houses. It was conceived by Wilbert Das, the Dutch creative director of Diesel. Story goes that he always spends his vacations in Bahia, and I guess he just decided that building a nice boutique hotel there would be a good idea. It is located in Trancoso, and it’s definitely in my plans when I go back to Brasil this year.
It seems to be part of a campaign from Diesel. Pretty weird.
